Ruthi Reads! WoW Weekly 100 Words 2.23.11

WOW WEEKLY 100 WORDSWe meet up at Ruthi's every Wednesday (sometimes I am running a day or three behind ) to share our current read. If you have not been, come on over!  Here's mine....
Ironhorse roared, and Puck’s dagger flashed out, a devilish grin stretching his face at the thought of violence. The redcaps surged forward, snarling and gnashing their teeth, just as eager I grabbed a silver knife from the table and held it ready as the redcaps lunged forward. One of them leaped onto the table, gathering his short legs under him to launch himself at us, fangs gleaming.
"That is enough!"
We froze. It was impossible not to. Even the redcap on the table locked up. Then fell into a bowl of fruit salad. Leanansidhe stood at the end of the table,

This morning, very early probably around 4:30am, while making coffee, cleaning up and doing my usual, I broke the front glass on my oven door. Don't ask me how I did that one, what a fluke! It broke my heart, and what a mess. After shedding some tears and feeling really mad at myself, I added yet another thing to my ever growing list. It has been a very frustrating Wednesday, with that and trying to update and upload...... Then, I open my little paper back, and settle in. Take me away!

Oh my goodness! Not the way to begin a day, Cynthia! I do hope your book took your thoughts far, far, away from the mishaps of the day!

Great excerpt. And always good to have you hoppin' along, m'dear!

Seems like it's always something these days LOL and it ruined my whole day too, but the book will be nice to relax with tonight :)

I read your blog and a bit of me broke inside - I felt it! You know how they say it is darkest before the dawn? I would like to know who 'they' are because I keep waiting for dawn - how about you? And I absolutely LOVE it that 4:30 AM - no biggy - you do know that 4AM is the witching hour - right?

Have you ever reviewed an ARC? (I know random question - out of nowhere - Ruthi's used them LOL)

@Brenda, yes I have heard that and yes, I keep waiting. I'm still a bit broken about it but it is just a thing.

Witching hour :)yes, some say 4, some say 3 and some insist on midnight. Lucky for me I'm a witch 27-7 LOL Are you superstitious? I am about somethings but mostly I think there is only energy in that which you give energy to.

I sent you an email about the ARC, and I will most certainly.

LOL I guess I'm working over time! That 27 should be 24 :)
